Robina Dental Group strives to provide high quality dental care to its clients and employs suitably qualified, experienced and skilled clinical and non-clinical staff in order to achieve this.

Dr Stephen Valentine - Principal Dentist

The team at Robina Dental Group is led by Dr Stephen Valentine. Steve has spent the majority of his career providing dental care to the people of the Gold Coast. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1995 and spent a short period with the public health service before entering the private sector, where he practised for two years in Tweed Heads and Mudgeeraba. Steve was then appointed as the Senior School Dentist responsible for the dental health of school children from Coolangatta to Miami and inland to the Numinbah Valley. Following this challenging and extremely rewarding experience, Steve opened Galleon Way Dental Surgery in Currumbin where he has been providing dental care for over 10 years.

Due to the high demand for the quality dental care provided by Steve and his team, it became necessary to expand into the larger, state of the art practice now operating at Robina.

Steve has two boys and enjoys playing tennis, cycling, fishing and coaching junior soccer at Palm Beach.

Dr Jamie Arthur - Senior Dentist

Jamie Arthur, with over 30 years experience, has earned a reputation for being one of the Gold Coast's most experienced and competent dentists.

After graduating from University College Hospital, London in 1978, Jamie emigrated to Australia and commenced his own general dental practice in Evans Head, Northern NSW. In 1999, he moved to the Gold Coast and started working in a periodontal and dental implant practice. In 2007, Jamie returned to general dentistry where he maintains a very keen interest in periodontal health. His down-to-earth and approachable nature is backed up by many years of experience and Robina Dental Group is proud to be able to offer his services to its patients.

Jamie enjoys spending his leisure time aboard his sailing boat with family and friends as well as playing squash and looking for errant golf balls.

Ms Dula Medic - Dental Hygienist

Robina Dental Group is pleased to offer the services of Ms Dula Medic for the provision of dental hygiene treatment and advice to patients. Dula graduated from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne University, United Kingdom in 1985 and now brings a wealth of experience in her field to the Group, having previously worked for 15 years in a prominent Gold Coast implant and gum clinic under the guidance of the specialist periodontist. Dula strongly believes in prevention being better than cure and can provide treatment and advice on the cleaning and care of teeth and prevention and treatment of gum infections and periodontal disease.

Dula has grown-up twin children and her interests are keeping fit and travelling.

Dean Van Hoek - Practice Manager

Having grown up in Coffs Harbour where he completed his Bachelor of Business and his Master of Professional Accounting degrees, Dean and his partner were lured to the bright lights of the Gold Coast in 2009. Dean joined Robina Dental Group soon after and in addition to his academic qualifications he brings a keen interest and real world experience in small business management.

Dean is a passionate surfer and regularly travels to exotic surfing destinations in pursuit of the perfect wave.

Alicia - Receptionist

A born and bred Gold Coaster, our friendly receptionist, Alicia joined the group in November, 2010 and brings with her over 8 years experience in her field both as a dental assistant and receptionist. With contacts in the industry all over the Gold Coast and her friendly and helpful disposition, Alicia is capable and ready to field all of your dental enquiries.

Having recently built her dream house, Alicia and her husband are now looking forward to creating a home for themselves and their two dogs, Charlie and Lilli.
